About the Competition
The Construction Paper Competition is organised to bridge the gap between academia and the realities of construction sites. Students from Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Architecture streams are invited to explore real-world problems, gather data from field visits, interview industry professionals and use modern digital tools like BIM and simulation. Our aim is to encourage practical, execution-focused research that can have a tangible impact on the construction sector.
This competition emphasises originality, clarity and relevance. All entries will be screened for plagiarism and must present authentic findings. A total prize pool of ₹1,00,000 is on offer across five categories, with each category rewarding the top three teams: ₹10,000 for first place, ₹5,000 for second and ₹3,000 for third.
Finalists will be selected by our expert panel and invited to present their work online. Certificates will be provided to all participants.
Competition Categories
Field Study
Real construction site observations and practical studies. Visit active projects, document processes, collect field evidence, and present actionable insights on productivity, equipment, and execution.
Digital Modeling
Digital technologies in construction planning — BIM modeling, simulation, clash detection, 4D sequencing, and scheduling. Demonstrate how digital tools improve planning and execution.
Equipment & Execution Analysis
Analysis of construction machinery, equipment utilization, and execution methods. Evaluate efficiency, productivity, and cost impacts of equipment deployment on site.
Industry Interview & Case Study
Learn directly from construction professionals through structured interviews and real project case studies. Document decision-making, challenges, and lessons learned.
